A brand born from a dream, living in the moment and founded on conscious principles towards the world around us

My Cute Pooch was born in 2019 as a tribute to our founder Mara Ferreira's life and travel companion, Pooch – her French bulldog. Because those who leave us should always have a place in our hearts. Over the past few years, this project has become a pillar for many women, affectionately nicknamed Pooch Girls, through its irreverent style and unique femininity. How would we define ourselves? Versatile, elegant, and with a special affection for the planet.

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. I am convinced that there can be luxury in simplicity. I wanted to dress the woman who lives and works, not the woman in a painting. It’s hard to balance everything. It’s always challenging. My relationships with producers or photographers – these are relationships that took years. I can’t get sucked into that celebrity thing, because I think it’s just crass. My aim is to make the poor look rich and the rich look poor. Vanity is the healthiest thing in life. I believe that my clothes can give people a better image of themselves – that it can increase their feelings of confidence and happiness. You can hide so much behind theatrics, and I don’t need to do that any more. I don’t really know how to do casual clothes.

    Sustainability has always been one of our core principles! From the very beginning, we've thought about ways to stand out while protecting our planet, through wallets made from recycled rubber.

    It wouldn't make sense to create a brand that went against our inspiration. That's why we don't use materials of animal origin and we don't conduct animal testing.

  • Made in Portugal

    We've always been fascinated by how a country as small as Portugal is capable of producing such high-quality products, so we decided to treat our Pooch Girls to the quality of Portuguese craftsmanship.

With a degree in Business Management and a postgraduate degree in Human Resources, our founder, Mara Ferreira, has always had a special fondness for fashion combined with female empowerment.

Her ambition led her to create her own brand and, even in the face of obstacles and challenges, she always remained true to her vision: to build a successful brand, made by women, for women. She describes herself as a dreamy person with a generous heart. She loves to travel, inspire, and above all, help those most in need.
